JSF Berlin will launch on the 4th of may,
in the scene known as togoshi day.

togoshi day, also know as the BRING THE HOPE project,
and was born out of Jesse's urge to help victims of earthquakes in haiti in 2010,
followed by the great east japan earthquake on march 11, 2011.
the event started on a bench in togoshi park and has since been recognized
as a shinagawa cultural program by government officials.
with the cooperation of the local community, the event has continued
as the ultimate free event where professionals and amateurs alike
can freely participate in a variety of ways, including singing,
drawing, and speeches to send out messages of hope and courage.
we specifically chose this day as launch date for JSF Berlin,
to symbolise what togoshi day stands for:
bringing people from different cultures and backgrounds together
to celebrate friendship, community, unification and resilience.

expanding JSF from tokyo to berlin further strengthens the official city partnership,
which has existed since the signing of a joint declaration by the governing mayor of berlin
and the governor of tokyo in may 1994 - although collaboration predates this declaration.

as young creatives, we want to further strengthen the japanese rock scene,
as well as power the economic future of both tokyo and berlin.
